What's
New? Update – February 23, 2005
Great News! I just
heard from Bob Balfour, the organiser ("organizer" for Americans)
of the June and July workshops in England, that he received a generous
financial gift from an anonymous donor. This gift allows us to reduce
(yes, I said reduce) the price of the two survivor workshops (Victims
No Longer and Women Together) from £ 325 to £
225. This price includes the workshop fee plus room and board in one of
the most beautiful and idyllic spots in the UK - The Lake District. See
the Events page for more details and registration information. Bob and
I are thrilled that this generosity has made the event more available
to survivors. Thank you, A.D. (Anonymous Donor).

On Friday, March 18,
2005 I will be doing an afternoon workshop for GLBTQ (gay, lesbian, bisexual,
transgendered, and questioning) youth who have experienced sexual abuse.
This workshop is part of the 12th Annual Conference of True Colors (Sexual
Minority Youth and Family Services of Connecticut). The Conference will
be held on March 18-19 on the campus of Central Connecticut State College
in New Britain. See the Events page for more information about the Conference
and True Colors.[Note: The Conference organizer asked me to let
professionals know that they can get Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
for attending: up to 12 units for the full conference.]
------------------------------------------------------------
I will also be doing
a 4 1/2 hour professional training on the sexual victimization of males
at a "Super Conference" in Oklahoma City in October. For more
information, see the Events page.

Clearly, lots of good
things are happening for survivors and their allies. There is much still
to be done, but we are on our way. Take care of yourself: we need you.
